Davis Direction Fundraiser

“And the Winner Is”

The Davis Direction Foundation presented a Tony award winning charity benefit and silent auction at Marietta High School’s Performing Arts Center on August 30, 2015. The night included selections from area restaurants, Broadway style entertainment, a silent auction, as well as, a spirited live auction. The event was well attended and exceeded the fund raising goal for the evening by raising $70,000.

The proceeds from the event will go toward opening a recovery clubhouse named “The Zone” to support long-term recovery and re-entry into the community. The Zone will be the first of its kind in Cobb County and will provide a necessary service to support those working to maintain their recovery from drug addiction.

The mission of the Davis Direction Foundation is to serve the community and become a national resource for Opiate/Heroin Addiction Awareness and Change. The Foundation sees the need to remove the stigma associated with addiction and to reevaluate the rehabilitation process seeking more effective methods of treatment, including medicated assisted treatment such as methadone and Suboxone. Davis Direction Foundation provides direct assistance to individuals and family members. They advocate for making opioid antagonist (Narcan Kits) readily available for those who may be at risk to experience an overdose.

North Fulton Treatment center is proud to support the Davis Direction Foundation as a community sponsor. Cheryl O’Connell and Dianne Johnson, counselors at NFTC, were honored to participate in the event. The Davis Foundation has accomplished amazing things in a short amount of time.
